Dr Sarah Palermo grew up in Hobart and completed her medical degree at The University of Tasmania. She moved to Melbourne to commence specialty anaesthesia training at The Alfred, where she has continued to work as a consultant. She served as a Supervisor of Training for 6 years, actively participating in the training, evaluation and well-being of trainees. In 2023, she has taken on a new leadership role at The Alfred as the Deputy Director of Operations.

Dr Sarah Palermo understands that undergoing a surgical procedure can be stressful. She takes the time to explain the process, answer all questions and provide reassurance.

She finds great satisfaction in her diverse clinical practice across both public and private hospitals, with particular interests in anaesthesia for oesophagogastric and bariatric surgery, and for obstetric patients.

Dr Rabb Salarzadeh completed his medical degree in Tasmania, Dr Rabb returned to his home state of Victoria to complete specialist anaesthesia training at Monash and The Alfred. His training had a particular focus on obstetric and general paediatric anaesthesia, neuroanaesthesia, and simulation training.

He maintains his professional knowledge and skills by participation in the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists’ Continuing Professional Development Program.

Dr Rabb Salazadeh understands that surgery and anaesthesia can be daunting. He strongly advocates for transparent communication and setting realistic patient expectations. He guides patients through the procedures, ensuring a calm and composed approach, even in urgent situations.

He takes great pride in his role as an anaesthetist and finds satisfaction in the personal interactions with each patient. He specifically values the confidence his patients have in his ability to care for them.

Mai brings experience in administrative roles across medical and higher education settings. She has been involved in coordinating admissions, managing health fund processes, and maintaining accurate documentation to support both staff and patients.

She is committed to supporting others, building trust, and keeping daily operations running seamlessly. With her organised approach and professional manner, she ensures tasks are completed efficiently while creating a positive and supportive environment.

Outside of work, Mai is completing her Master of Management in Marketing and enjoys creative projects and continuous learning.

Meagan possesses a proven track record in initiating and nurturing early stage business development, playing a pivotal role in shaping brands from their inception to successful scaling.

Meagan has over ten years of experience in advertising, marketing, and media, working with major publishers on globally recognised campaigns for L’Oreal, Priceline, David Jones, Vogue, ELLE, and Harper’s Bazaar.

She is a passionate creative with a strong commercial lens. She is an effective marketer with a deep understanding of PR, social and performance media.
