Dr Jagga’s clinical experience spans multiple renowned institutions. He has served as a consultant anaesthetist at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town and has completed fellowships in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine. His academic and clinical pursuits are deeply intertwined with research, particularly in the areas of point-of-care ultrasound and the impact of COVID-19 on anaesthesia practice.

Dr Nicholas Barton completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and went on to specialist training in anaesthesia across Sydney and Melbourne. He became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2021, further developing his expertise through fellowships in paediatric anaesthesia at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care at the Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, UK.

Dr Barton has additional qualifications including a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound (University of Melbourne) and a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Medicine (University of Sydney). He also holds advanced certifications in perioperative and adult transoesophageal echocardiography.

Dr Barton is a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at St Vincent’s Hospital and a VMO Anaesthetist at Peninsula Health, where he is actively involved in supervision, mentorship, and teaching, with a strong focus on improving both patient perioperative experience and trainee education. Dr Ana Licina completed her medical degree at the University of Otago in New Zealand and undertook her specialist anaesthesia training in Australia. Dr Licina also holds a Master of Perioperative Medicine and a Master of Clinical Research Methods from Monash University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound from the University of Melbourne. She is an accredited Perioperative Medicine Physician, with an award of Graduate of the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine in 2024.

Her clinical experience spans public and private healthcare sectors, with particular expertise in neurosurgery, major hepatobiliary surgery, vascular surgery, anaesthesia for cardiology procedures and high-risk perioperative care.

In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively engaged in research, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and leadership in quality improvement projects. Her contributions have been recognised with research prizes and grant funding.

Dr Brian Chee is an experienced specialist anaesthetist with expertise in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, liver transplant anaesthesia, perioperative echocardiography, and critical care. After completing his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, he undertook specialist anaesthesia training in Australia, achieving Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA). He also holds a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Graduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne.

Dr Chee completed fellowship training at Austin Health, gaining advanced experience in cardiothoracic surgery, liver transplantation, and complex general anaesthesia. He is currently a staff anaesthetist at Monash Health and the Victorian Heart Hospital and maintains a diverse clinical practice in most major private hospitals. His main interests are in anaesthesia for cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology procedures including electrophysiology and structural cardiology, orthopaedics surgery, and oesophagogastric and hepatobiliary surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Chee is actively involved in medical education, mentoring anaesthesia trainees and teaching for the ANZCA primary examination. His research interests focus on cardiac anaesthesia, perioperative blood transfusion and patient safety, with multiple contributions to peer-reviewed publications and clinical projects.

Dr John-Oliver Dunn is a highly experienced specialist anaesthetist at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. In addition, he has also previously held a specialist cardiothoracic position at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, and a specialist position at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom (U.K.). 

After completing his medical degree at Queen’s University Belfast, he obtained specialist qualifications in anaesthesia in the U.K., and subsequently in Australia. His key interests include anaesthesia for heart and lung surgery including structural heart procedures, complex trauma care, and advanced airway management. Alongside his clinical work, John-Oliver has contributed to research, published in respected medical journals, and presented at international conferences. He has a strong interest in medical education, with a focus on simulation-based training, and is an Advanced Life Support instructor.

Outside of work, John-Oliver enjoys spending time with his wife, young son, and their two pugs. He is passionate about sport, particularly cricket, golf, and rugby, and is a member of both the Marylebone Cricket Club in London and Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne. He also holds formal wine qualifications, reflecting his enthusiasm for exploring and appreciating fine wines.

Dr Wei-Lyn Chung is a highly skilled specialist anaesthetist with extensive international training and experience across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She completed anaesthesia training in New Zealand and received her Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2019.

Dr Chung undertook subspecialty training in cardiothoracic anesthesia and intensive care at the world-renowned Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in London, where she was involved in the provision of anaesthesia for complex cardiac and thoracic procedures. Following this, she worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. She also has a keen interest in regional anaesthesia.

Known for her calm, thorough, and compassionate approach, Dr Chung ensures that each of her patients feels informed, supported, and confident in their care. She is also passionate about fostering a culture of learning within anaesthesia and continues to contribute to the advancement of the specialty.

Dr Harsch Kothari is a specialist anaesthetist with subspecialty in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. After completing his medical degree and Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Melbourne, he undertook anaesthesia training through the Victorian North-Western and Queensland Training Schemes.

He subsequently completed advanced fellowships in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at Harefield Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust (London, UK), where he gained experience in transoesophageal echocardiography, heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and complex interventional cardiology procedures. He also trained as a Provisional Fellow in perioperative medicine at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Dr Kothari holds a Master of Public Health and further postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Ultrasound. He is formally accredited in transoesophageal echocardiography and remains active in teaching, research, and professional development.

Dr Alexander Cochrane-Davis is a Specialist Anaesthetist with expertise in cardiac and high-risk anaesthesia. He completed his medical degree with honours at Monash University and went on to undertake specialist anaesthetic training through the Monash Anaesthetic Training Scheme, gaining broad experience across Monash Health, Frankston Health, Western Health, and rurally at Wangaratta Hospital.

He completed a General Fellowship at the Alfred Hospital, followed by a Cardiac Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he developed a strong interest in the management of medically complex surgical patients. He continues to work publicly at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a cardiac anaesthetist alongside his private practice.

Dr Cochrane-Davis also holds postgraduate qualifications in clinical ultrasound and clinical education from the University of Melbourne. His interests extend to integrating advanced imaging into perioperative care and fostering a collaborative teaching culture within the anaesthetic community.
