Some members of our subspecialty group practise across both disciplines, while others focus mainly on thoracic anaesthesia. Our team’s experience spans Melbourne’s major cardiac and tertiary centres, including The Alfred, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Victorian Heart Hospital, as well as subspecialty training at leading international cardiothoracic centres.

Subspecialty Training
Our anaesthetists have completed subspecialty training in cardiac or thoracic anaesthesia, including intraoperative transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE). Several members hold advanced perioperative TOE qualifications, and some have trained internationally.
